Have you ever wanted to try a juice cleanse, but did not know where to start? If this is your first time juicing, it is highly recommended that you do a short 3-day cleanse as every body reacts differently and juicing is not for everyone. To prepare your body for 3 days of juice alone, however, a 3-day pre-cleanse is suggested. During those first 3 days, cut out everything except fruits and vegetables, drink lots of herbal tea, and hydrate with large amounts of water.

Once the pre-cleansing is taken care of, you may begin the actually juice cleanse. The following juice recipes are short and easy to do. In total you consume 6 glasses of juice a day and 6 glasses of water.

  • Green Juice ( 3 glasses daily)
  • Red Juice (1 glass daily)
  • Orange Juice ( 2 glasses daily)
  • Strawberry almond milk at the end of the day

The following is a rough schedule of what your day may look like:

7:00 am wake up – white ginger tea

8:00 am – Green Juice #1 + water

10:00 am – Orange Juice #1 + water

12:00pm – Green Juice #2 + water

2:00 pm – Red Juice + water

4:00 pm – Green Juice #3 + water

6:00 pm – Orange Juice #2 + water

8:00 pm – Strawberry almond milk and white ginger tea

During the 3 days after juicing, work your body slowly back onto normal food. Start by eating plenty of raw vegetables, then work into fruits, fish, quinoa etc. Your body will thank you for taking good care of it before and after the cleanse.

Each recipe is enough for 1 glass, so if you will be juicing in bulk every morning, multiply each recipe by however many juices you will need that day.

Green Juice

Ingredients:

  • 3 leaves kale, stem removed, roughly chopped
  • 1 handful spinach leaves, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 bunch parsley, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 sticks celery, roughly chopped
  • 1 apple, halved and seeds removed
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 1 lemon. rind removed

Place everything into a juicer and juice.

Red Juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, quartered
  • 2 red beets, quartered
  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 orange, rind removed
  • 1 (1-inch) piece of ginger
  • 1 handful spinach

Place everything into a juicer and juice.

Orange Juice

Ingredients:

  • 9 carrots
  • 1 orange, rind removed
  • 1 apple, quartered
  • 1 slice pineapple, skin removed
  • 1/2 of lemon
  • 1 inch turmeric root

Place everything into a juicer and juice.

Strawberry Almond Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup who natural almonds
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tablespoon Agave Nectar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, seeds removed
  • 3 strawberries, tops removed

Instructions

  1. Soak the almonds in some water for at least 2 hours
  2. Drain the almonds and combine them with 2 cups of water, agave nectar, cinnamon, vanilla bean and strawberries in a high powered blender and blend for about 2 minutes until smooth.
